Action Pack: 4 Killer Action Games! [PC Game]
Developed by: Sierra Entertainment - Sierra Entertainment (2004) - Shooter - Rated: Mature
This 2004 Sierra Entertainment, Inc. bundle includes four popular previously published first-person shooter action games in one
budget-minded package. Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza (2002) has players taking the role of New York cop John McClane in events
based on the 1988 film. As the hip Cate Archer, players will use a variety of weapons and gadgets to keep the world safe from
H.A.R.M. in The Operative: No One Lives Forever -- Game of the Year Edition (2001). Use powerful weapons to hunt down a few
bugs on an infested planet in Gunman Chronicles (2000). Finally, play as Alien, Predator or Marine across 30 paranoia-inducing
levels in Aliens Versus Predator (1999).
Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza: Based on the original 1988 film, Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza invites players to take the role of New York
cop John McClane, as he stumbles into a Christmas-eve terrorist plot at a Los Angeles high rise, in which his wife and her
co-workers are being held hostage. Nakatomi Plaza offers three levels of difficulty, multiple control schemes (joystick, mouse,
keyboard), and a wide array of weapons for the industrious McClane, including a 9mm pistol, sub-machinegun, sniper rifle, M-16
machine gun, and M-60.
The Operative: No One Lives Forever -- Game of the Year Edition: No One Lives Forever is a first-person spy adventure that takes
place in a world that we'd all recognize, even if it never really existed. Settings and storylines are reminiscent of early James
Bond films, with a healthy dose of Get Smart and Austin Powers thrown in for good measure. In designing the game world for No
One Lives Forever, great effort was devoted to finding the proper balance of 1960s post-modern kitsch and full-on, gut wrenching
Gunman Chronicles: They're back and they're more deadly than ever! Five years ago, human colonists and settlers on several
worlds were besieged by an infestation of Xenomes -- bugs, slugs, worms and worse. It began with military outposts, commercial
mining outfits, and scientific expeditions in the far reaches of unexplored territory.
Gunman Chronicles, developed by Rewolf Software using the 3D Half-Life engine, features four worlds with diverse environments,
hordes of mutants and an arsenal of weaponry. The latter initially includes a knife and eventually encompasses laser pistols,
shotguns, mecha (altered sub-machine) guns, a plasma electrothermal Polaris Blade, chem guns and the multi-purpose M.U.L.E. --
multiple unit launch engine.
Aliens Versus Predator: Gold Edition: Aliens Versus Predator focuses on three separate species: the Colonial Marines, the Aliens
and the Predators. Each species is playable and offers significantly different strengths, weapons, physical abilities and objectives.
Players will also find that each species "sees" the world differently.
Aliens Versus Predator contains over 40 different environmental levels including spaceships, alien temples and underground
caverns. Furthermore, all environments in the game can be deformed. A flamethrower will leave a thick black scorch on any
surface you blast while the pulse rifle leaves holes in the walls. Throw a grenade in the water and watch the splash. Don't like that
light? Shoot it out and plunge the corridor into inky black darkness.
